For lack of better words, this is an interesting time we’re in. Like everyone else in the world, we, the ManageBetter team, have been trying to navigate this pandemic-ridden situation and think about how we can make the best of it. There’s so much up in the air, but there is one thing we are certain of:

It’s even more important now that we stay connected as a team

The term “social distancing” should be changed to “physical distancing”

We are all miles apart from one another as we are all currently working from home. However, every other day at 3 pm, we make it a priority to socialize and check in with each other during our team break.

It’s short: approximately 15-30 minutes long.

It’s casual: we talk about anything, except work.

It helps us bond as a team: prior to the stay-at-home orders, the team had these 3pm breaks in the office. In lieu of the in-person office breaks, we’ve opted for virtual ones.

We’ve been sharing great laughs while playing a few virtual multiplayer games we discovered, so we wanted to spread the joy and share them with you! Here are a few of our favorites so far:

Skribbl.io

This is Pictionary 2.0. Brush up on your spelling! Don’t end up losing because you forgot “i” is before “e”, except after “c”. What’s great about this one is if you’re short on time, you have the ability to choose the number of rounds and how long each person’s turn is to make it a quick 15-minute game break.

Pong

Have a ping pong tournament! How our team did this was by having each match play one at a time and one of the players would share their screen over video conference so the others could watch. It doesn’t seem as if there’s a set score to reach in order to win. If there is it’s set pretty high, so we decided first to reach 10 points wins. AA currently holds the ManageBetter Pong Champ title!

Kosmi: Cards Game Room

Everyone sits around a virtual table to play various card games, such as Go Fish. Who doesn’t love a classic card game?

We haven’t personally tested these next few games yet, but they’re next on our list!

Fishbowl-Game

It’s a combination of Taboo, Charades, and Password.

Paper Games

There’s Battleship, Tic Tac Toe, Gomoku and Connect 4. Try these easy-to-play classics when you only have a few minutes free. They also work great when you don’t want to think too much on your break.

Webopoly

An online version of the classic Monopoly. Just don’t let the competition get too fierce!

Epuzzle

Virtual jigsaw puzzles. Relax and destress with your teammates.

We hope your teams enjoy these games as much as we do! Let us know if we’re missing out on any ones you’ve found.
