I’ve been researching the performance review process and talking to customers about what they like and don’t like about the process. Here are the key insights from the week of December 23, 2019:
K is a marketing executive. Here are some key insights:
His company has 20 employees.
His company has 12 values. They are meaningful, and he remembers them. The company is trying to get the values down to 4.
They use Lattice. It’s a bit unusual that they adopted Lattice so early given that they’re so small. The reason they adopted it is:
They have one FT HR person who pushed for it.
K felt it was good that they have Lattice b/c it helps them meet data security compliance requirements by their customers.
I mentioned that when I tried using 15Five, OfficeVibe that I found it frustrating that I had to invite my team to join before I could start using it. He said it was certainly a problem for his old company too.
He wondered if we were planning to sell to individual managers (e.g. 1:1) or the entire company (e.g. platform). He was very enthusiastic about us selling 1:1. He also liked that our software was useful for a standalone individual.
Suggested we try ProductHunt, GeekWire and TechCrunch to drive awareness.
If we’re not charging, then he understands if have to focus on organic methods of marketing such as PR.
