I’ve been researching the performance review process and talking to customers about what they like and don’t like about the process. Here are the key insights from the week of October 28, 2019:

  • Jeff is a retired Director of HR at Google. He felt the biggest opportunity was for managers to be more “hands-on.” In other words, they should constantly give feedback. There needs to be structured guidelines.

    • They also don’t have structured 1:1’s at Google. There was a internal 1:1 tool but nobody used it. The managers need to be there for the employees.
